New Stopover Locations in Kent

Canterbury City CouncilCanterbury City Council have told us about two additional motorhome stopover provisions in Herne Bay.

In Neptune Car Park there are six dedicated motorhome parking bays in a premier car park on the seafront. Charges are £1.10 per hour and the charging period is from 8:30am to 8pm each day. No charge outside these hours. The site has CCTV surveillance and local facilities nearby.

A new provision at Reculver Country Park is the introduction of six dedicated motorhome bays in the coach parking area close to the wonderful Reculver Country Park. The charge here is a flat rate of £10 for 24 hours (no hourly rate). Local facilities nearby.

Overnight stays are allowed at both these locations and there is currently no limit on the length of stay, but no 'camping' activities are allowed (i.e. no chairs, tables, barbecues, washing lines, generators, etc..

We congratulate Canterbury for the introduction of these facilities for motorhome users, hopefully they will not be abused.

See our Motorhome Stopovers page for our full listing of motorhome overnight parking locations throughout the UK and Ireland.
