Barrow in Furness Motorhome Stopovers
Working in partnership with Cumbria Tourism, Barrow Borough Council have identified some locations for overnight stays.
They would like visitors to experience some of the beautiful places Barrow and the surrounding areas have to offer.
From Furness Abbey, a historic English Heritage site on the outskirts of Barrow, to the award winning Nature reserves, this Victorian town steeped with industrial history, has something to offer campervan enthusiasts.
The Council have authorised overnight stays for self contained motorhomes and campervans at four car parks in the area.
The limited spaces are free and on a first come first served basis. If the spaces of your first choice location are full, you will need to try alternative sites.
The parking bays are signposted and have a QR code for booking. Users must vacate the sites by 12 noon the following day. There are no facilities at the sites.
Full information and booking is also available on the Council's website at www.barrowbc.gov.uk/visitors/motor-caravans/
Note that booking does not guarantee a space, it is in place to help the council gauge demand and usage.
Users of the sites must read and agree with the Code of Conduct and then book daily via the link on the website or the QR code at the locations.
We have details of the locations in our Motorhome Stopovers Listing
